The Plastic Bottle Mountain

We are learning to describe the plastic mountain, it is a little mountain full of plastic bottles.  We had to use  present tense, use my senses to describe smell, sounds and sights and have more detail in our sentences.

 The Big Plastic Mountain
I feel disgusted when I walk into the plastic mountain having to clean up everyone's mess. Green and white plastic bottles are scattered around me and the amount of plastic bottles makes me want to faint. I smell the plastic bottles rotting away, they have been there for days, weeks or months. Half of the bottles I pick up are sharp and have mud on them so I immediately throw them  in the basket. Some bottles have a little bit of soda in them. The amount of bottles that are here makes me think how many people are dumping their plastic bottles. As I trample the plastic bottles, they make a cracking sound as if I’m  using a hammer and whacking the bottles really hard.

  1. Hi Hunter, I can see that you've tried hard to add more detail to your sentences, so well done.
Maybe you could explain why you (the narrator) are doing this job? What exactly do you and the others who work her have to do?
